Atardecer Parchado

The title, Atardecer Parchado, draws from Colombian colloquial language, where parchado refers to something relaxed, cool, or effortlessly enjoyable. Translated loosely as a chill sunset, the phrase grounds the project in local speech and cultural rhythm, reflecting an intentional embrace of Colombian identity through language as much as imagery.

Atardecer Parchado is a cinematic portrait of two Colombian models illuminated by soft, shimmering golden light against a clean white backdrop, capturing elegance, presence, and atmosphere through minimal yet expressive composition.

Created for XY Models, a prestigious modeling agency operating across Colombia and the United States, the project reflects a collaboration rooted in refined visual storytelling and contemporary fashion aesthetics.

The imagery emphasizes subtle gesture and emotional restraint, where light becomes the central narrative forcedrifting across skin and fabric in warm, abstract patterns that evoke the sensation of a fading sunset. Each frame is carefully composed to highlight tone, texture, and stillness, allowing the subjects to exist within a sculptural interplay of illumination and shadow.

Rather than relying on narrative structure, the work is built around atmosphere and sensation. It explores how minimal environments can amplify presence, and how controlled light can shape emotion, transforming simplicity into visual richness.

Ultimately, the project becomes a study of beauty as moodhow light, cultural nuance, and human presence converge into a cohesive visual experience that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted in place.
